By Car:

On route B27 from Tübingen or Balingen:
toward Hechingen, Exit Hechingen-NORD, then continue on the L410 toward Haigerloch/Rangendingen. Turn left into Stein, then immediately right to the parking lot of the museum.

On route A81 from Stuttgart or Singen:
Exit Empfingen, continue on the L410 via Haigerloch and Rangendingen to Stein. Turn right into Stein, immediately right again to the parking lot of the museum.

Getting there by public transportation:

The "Hohenzollern Landesbahn" train runs almost every hour from Tübingen to Hechingen (takes about 25 minutes). You can catch the bus (#10) from Hechingen to Stein, on weekdays hourly (Busstop "Rathaus"), on Sundays every hour from 11 am to noon and 3 pm to 5 pm (Busstop "Römische Ausgrabungen"), the trip takes about 13 minutes. There is a comfortable foot and bike path which runs along the main road 5 km from Hechingen to Stein.
Using the schedule of the German Railway System you can check the actual train- and bus connections. Your destination would be "Stein Rathaus Hechingen" (Mon to Fri) or 'Hechingen-Stein' (Sat/Sun) ein.
